What's in store for 2018 in email marketing? In this interview, expert and consultant Jordie van Rijn gives you a glimpse of what the future holds. Jordie van Rijn of emailmonday is an experienced email marketing and marketing automation consultant . He has advised companies like KLM, Mitsubishi and Unilever and trained hundreds of new and already professional marketers through training. On December 12, Jordie will be among the speakers at the MailUp Marketing Conference – the first large-scale open event organized by us here at MailUp. His talk will focus on what has made him famous over the years: predicting future trends in email marketing , in order to give marketers valuable insights and approach upcoming business in the right light. While waiting for the Conference, we chatted with Jordie and tried to get some valuable insights from him about the future - here's what he gave us Jordie van Rijn Where do you think email marketing is headed? Email marketing has always been about reaching the right people , but it's an evolving concept. Email marketing is reinventing E-Commerce Photo Editing Service itself by recognizing Person + Profile + Goal = Performance . The quality of an audience is defined in large part by the completeness of the subscriber profile , as this is where purchase intent and other valuable data to segment is located. As we know that data = potential value , comes the age of the Tease marketer. Trying to get interactions and information by being enough in touch and being interesting enough. You must earn a first-party behavioral data exchange , through multiple channels. Entertainment is another form of teasing. I went to the Efteling amusement park recently - it's like a Disney park, but less cheesy. The experience was so entertaining that I would happily recommend it. I don't mind sharing my data with them. I'm pretty sure I did too, because I had their app installed and entered my favorite attractions. They were following me on the virtual map while I was there. A lot of interesting data comes from this. They send you a preview email inviting you to come back to the park, including an animated GIF that leads to a video with a new ride. Now that's just a great use of email to gain retention and email itself also has entertainment value - as you can see in the following email (source: Notablist).

Creating, distributing and promoting content is a job requiring ad hoc tools that can facilitate and optimize otherwise time-consuming and tedious tasks. Here are our favourites, sorted by activity, they have all been 100% tested. Content marketing is a multifaceted discipline that requires a significant investment of time and energy to produce truly valuable content. For an article or blog post, the content research and writing phases alone can take several business days. For an ebook or a video course, the necessary human and economic investment is even greater. In order to optimize the effort/result ratio , there are numerous Content Marketing tools that perform the most diverse tasks - from helping you find topics to write about, to easily creating graphic assets, passing by planning publications and analyzing results. The problem is that trying them all costs time , energy, and sometimes even money. That's why we've compiled a list of those that we've personally tested, and can only recommend which ones are really effective content marketing tools . Most are free, some are paid. Of course, the list Image Masking Service is not exhaustive in relation to the resources available, but we hope that for this reason it is doubly useful. Topic search tools One of the biggest dilemmas for a content marketer is how to find interesting topics for their audience. What keywords should they create content on? We are well aware that information and SEO needs are increasingly interconnected , which is why some of the tools traditionally dedicated strictly to SEO will also prove useful to those who create content. A somewhat obvious postulate: in this context, Google is a leader . Given the amount of data it has, it's more or less unavoidable. For this reason, some of its tools (like the Keyword Planner) are truly indispensable. google trends Price: free As well as offering valuable advice on the most popular search topics, Google Trends offers the ability to compare search volumes for particular keywords, showing variation over time and correlation with any other ascending keywords. . This is fundamental to understanding which keywords to target (“summer sandals” or “summer shoes”?) and identifying critical seasonalities for posting content. google trends Google Keyword Planner Price: Free, but linked to an AdWords account This Google tool is a godsend. It was created as an AdWords tool, but is quite useful for discovering new keywords : just by entering some basic information (a few keywords, referring site, product category),
